Depending on the product I'm making, I either throw on the wheel or shape the clay by hand.
After letting the clay dry for a couple of days, it is time to decorate it with underglaze.
When it is dry enough, it then goes in the kiln for its first firing at about 800°C.
The piece is then dipped in transparent glaze, which will give it it's shiny or matte look and make it safe for eating.
The last step is the last firing, at around 1200°C.
